Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Miri Piri Khalsa College, Bhadaur is an institutional platform dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving among students and faculty members. The Council provides opportunities for young minds to transform innovative ideas into meaningful solutions and encourages them to explore emerging technologies, entrepreneurial opportunities, and socially relevant innovations.

The IIC works towards creating an ecosystem where students are encouraged to think creatively, identify real-world problems, develop innovative solutions, and pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Through various activities such as expert talks, workshops, ideation sessions, innovation challenges, entrepreneurship awareness programmes, design-thinking activities, competitions, and interaction with innovators and entrepreneurs, the Council promotes experiential learning beyond the conventional classroom environment.

At Miri Piri Khalsa College, Bhadaur, the IIC aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application by encouraging students to develop an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset. It also provides a platform for faculty members and students to share ideas, collaborate on projects, explore intellectual property and startup opportunities, and develop solutions addressing local and societal needs.

Objectives of IIC

- To develop a culture of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship among students and faculty.
- To encourage students to identify and solve real-life problems through innovative approaches.
- To promote ideation, design thinking, research and technology-based solutions.
- To create awareness about entrepreneurship, startups and intellectual property rights (IPR).
- To provide students with opportunities to interact with innovators, entrepreneurs, industry experts and professionals.
- To encourage participation in innovation challenges, competitions, hackathons and entrepreneurship programmes.
- To support students in converting promising ideas into prototypes, projects and viable entrepreneurial opportunities.

IIC Activities

The Council regularly promotes activities such as innovation and entrepreneurship awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, expert interactions, idea competitions, design-thinking sessions, prototype development, IPR awareness programmes, startup awareness activities and student innovation projects.

Through these initiatives, the IIC seeks to inspire students to move beyond conventional learning and become creative thinkers, problem-solvers, innovators and future entrepreneurs.
